It is not clear whether this picture actually represents a forerunner of Kubbs in ancient Egypt.
Egyptian murals where the forerunner of Kubb was played. Around 3000 BC, the ancient Egyptians played games that are very similar to Kubb. At that time games were said to have been played which were a mixture of javelin throwing and chess. Excavations (even if we do not have any corresponding images) are said to have found wooden blocks, human bones, bones and Egyptian wall paintings, which prove that the Egyptians played such games.
